Well I'm back from my weekend at Xara... and lets just say it was a BLAST. I had a great time every day. The weather was moderate, and the people and attractions were everything I hoped for. When you get a chance ask me more about it.

Here is a picture Sarah took of me...

I am not able to go on this Diving Trip with the Qualcomm group this year, but I do plan on visiting Scuba Club Cozumel at some point.

Reminds me alot of Hotel Cantamar in La Paz.

One of the interesting things about the new Video iPod is the ability to subscribe to Video Podcasts, and have the ability to sync them to your Video iPod... this all assumes that you have an Video iPod, which I don't. But I do have a excellent Sony PSP, which actually has a larger screen. I have also found that the most recent Google Video site, allows you to download the uploaded content in PSP format as well as iPod. So I set about trying to make this work

Bottom line... I now can podcast the Suicide Girls Video and transcode it into PSP format and have an excellent viewing experience on my PSP. There are notes on how to do the same with the DVD's in my cabinet... but that is another weekend project.

Not much to this entry, but think of all the Album Art for Iron Maiden albums... but rather than Ed in it, its Sponge Bob. :)

UPDATE These stops have been cancelled. Hoping to goto Atomic Museum at the bottom

This coming labor day I will not be going to Burning Man, but rather travelling to Albuequerque and on the way there will be stoping at the following places.

Montezuma's Castle

http://www.nps.gov/moca/

No map... just these instructions... Montezuma Castle is located 3 miles off Interstate 17. Use Exit Number 289 and follow signs.

Do both PIMA AMARC and Titan for $14.25 a person.

The PIMA AMARC is the location where the tour of the B-52 Airplane Graveyard leaves from. This reminds me I used Microsofts TerraServer to create a LARGE image of the Airplane Graveyard, this will take a while to load. Just wait.

This is the little application for creating Avatars and Icons for LJ, MySpace, Flickr etc. There is also one for creating Southpark Characters but I haven't found it recently.

Edward Burtynsky

Manufactured Landscapes: The Photographs of Edward Burtynsky
Disturbing Mother Nature -- Edward Burtynsky's photos showcase environmentalist concerns while creating a sense of wonder.

Last night Kim and I went to the awsome and eyeopening photo gallery in balboa park. They are displaying several of Edward's pieces of nature being unaturally altered. I particularly liked the two galleries below. It is only on display for this weekend. Catch it if you can! It is at:

Museum of Photographic Arts - Balboa Park
