Got this post of our internal mailing lists... good information on connecting two wireless routers together to get networking to a part of your house you currently don't have any wiring for... or into a neighbors house.

I have my setup like this:

cable mode <-ethernet-> Router 1<--wireless--> Router 2

Router 1 connected to my VOIP phone adapter and my Home PC.
Router 2 connected to my Linux box (mostly used for my MythTV).

Router 1 and Router 2 talk to each other wirelessly (they both acts as wireless bridge).
Both also act as Access Point but only Router 1 acts as gateway and DHCP server. So anything connected to Router 2 still gets IP from Router 1.

Hmmm I think I need to get out more. I kinda understand why they allow these characters in WOW and EverQuest II... Sigh...

Highly addictive... Feed your fish, keep them safe, and buy an egg to get extra things for your tank... this game is free!

I was going to do a somewhat long and drawn out method of obtaining a port match to process ID and how to find out what program is using that process ID(to help people running game servers and chat programs etc.), however it looks like Microsoft finally updated one of their network/system diagnostic tools. For those of you who use netstat already will find the new features to be long awaited, and for those that have not yet used it may consider using it for helping you diagnose network/firewall issues potentially brought on with installation of Windows XP SP2.

netstat -b

... snip output ...

I'm inviting you all to join me in an on line game, that is turn based, and could be played for about 5 minutes a day and still be fun. CLicking on the link below of course helps me, but if we work together, we should be able to have a big army to run around with. I am an ORC.

KhanTheOrc to join in.

In Kings of Chaos, you are in command of an army of either humans, elves, dwarves or orcs. The aim of the game is to achieve the highest overall ranking - worked out by taking a combination of your attack, defence, and covert (spy) rankings - whoever has the lowest combined ranking will be 1st in the overall rankings. This makes it important to keep your army evenly balanced in all these areas.

I found this interesting new game called Gish, its a little tricky to learn how to move around in the game, but once you get the hang of it. Its little puzzles and tricks to move around become quite fun.

If I were a NetHack monster, I would be a floating eye. I see and sense absolutely everything that happens around me. I just don't do very much about it.
