Well I'm back from my weekend at Xara... and lets just say it was a BLAST. I had a great time every day. The weather was moderate, and the people and attractions were everything I hoped for. When you get a chance ask me more about it.

Here is a picture Sarah took of me...

As part of Burning Man, one always rides their bike around the playa. This year a group of us are going to get lights for our bikes to make them more visable. While researching, we came across the following kit, that lets you upload your own images into the lightbar, and if desired add animation to the image. As you can see above. Each of these kits runs about $40 a tire, and to get fluid graphics at slower speeds you actually need 2-3 bars. So it starts to add up quickly. But the idea of soldering this all together and making it work just sounds cool!

Last night I went out and saw Metal Skool at Typhoon Saloon down in PB. This was a hell of alot of fun. Metal Skool is a band that covers 80s HairBand songs. In addition to providing their unique flair of stage antics ranging from wild to wranchy.

They do have a dress code that says you need to wear atleast pants. No shorts, and if you dress up with a wig and be 80'z out, you are allowed in for free... saving $7.00

Growing up we used to always get out a puzzle to do over the holidays. We went to game keeper in UTC and would find these crazy french puzzles that had crazy cartoon characters raiding pirate ships, skiing nakid, or climbing a verticleville city. This year we restarted this tradition, and as a gift, my mom tracked down several sites and places to find these excellent puzzles.

They are made by HEYE, and the infamously witty artist, Loup.

This is the one i'm looking to get:

Your pirate name is:

Dirty Morty Rackham

You're the pirate everyone else wants to throw in the ocean -- not to get rid of you, you understand; just to get rid of the smell. You have the good fortune of having a good name, since Rackham (pronounced RACKem, not rack-ham) is one of the coolest sounding surnames for a pirate. Arr!

What is yours????

OK, I still need to post some of my pictures... and movies from the Luau Party 2004 at Meiko and Phill's. The fire spinners were cool, the awsome music, and the way naughty tatoo contest.

I need to get pictures from Karly and Kevin...

Well it looks like our semi-weekly Texas Hold'em games are getting kicked up a notch. As some of us are planning to make a trip out to Viejas to play in a tournament... now if I could always get my awsome streak of the on the river wins...
