RSS Feed Agrigator for Outlook
In my research for RSS tools, I found this post by reading a friends blog.

The tool to check out is News Gator that plugs into outlook, pulling the RSS feeds into outlook as messages. Which allows you to utilize the power of outlook to sort, and also forward articles. The product is still growing on me. But definately like how it pulls in the gizmodo feeds (includes pictures etc).
300ft Range Stun Gun
I'm having a hard time thinking that this article is true. But I'll post it anyways. 🙂
Its basically a crowd control Taser gun. Which usually shocks people with electrodes to knock them out. This one is wireless, and can be 'sprayed' across an entire crowd of people. Those that are opposed to my oppressive rule of the United States of TJ. Muhahahahaha! I digress.
Fun Game for Killing Time

Configuring Entourage 2004 to NOT work with Exchange
I have spoken before about ways to get other OS's to connect to Exchange. These are some links I found to TRY and explain how to connect Entourage 2004 (part of the Office 2004 suite for OS X) to connect.
I still haven't found a good way to get my OS X laptop connected to exchange. The 'automatic' configuration still is not working for me. I am going to submit a bug request through our MSFT rep and see what I'm able to find out. Since we have two pretty straight forward Exchange infrastructures here, it should 'just work', but instead keeps telling me to see my administrator... but I AM THE FREAKIN ADMINISTRATOR... give me some more help! pweeew...
We will see.

Neat new coffee makers that use pods
In the search to find new better ways to get my caffeine fix (and yes I stopped taking no-doz/stay awake). I found links to these two new coffee makers that are self cleaning and use 'pods' of espresso.
Philips Senseo (with Douwe Egberts coffee pods)
Melitta One

5 levers (steps) to drive increased productivity
5 levers (steps) to drive increased productivity (extract – see 2x2). Get people who are brilliant at each of these – train them, invest in them. The Six Sigma crowd.
- centralize: bring all operations under a single authority discipline to user maintenance requests
- standardize: reduce variety of processes to delivery similar outputs to further reduce maintenance expenses. (Never do this before customers are willing.)
- Simplify: prune processes to eliminate extra steps that add complexity without commensurate corporate value
- automate: drive processes into software to increase productivity, using application packages wherever possible
- outsource: drive processes out of the company to achieve the returns from outsourcing previously described
Whitelists to block spam
So far I have been really happy with Spamnet as my solution for blocking spam. But in chatting with my friend Elya, he has also been employing some other solutions to address the situation.
His comments:
i use frontbridge,
there is also clearmx.com,
bright mail
> set querytype=mx
> fddi.com
Server: 127.0.0.1
Address: 127.0.0.1#53Non-authoritative answer:
fddi.com mail exchanger = 10 mail.global.frontbridge.com.
so all of my email gets cleansed before it hits me
and then i just use postfix header checks to get rid of the blank spaces in subject lines, email from .jp and other domains
and anything else that the spam organization doesnt clear up
yeah. thats the next big thing for the internet
spam and fortigate boxes
i'm playing around with http://www.tmda.net
Q: tmda is what you are using for the message I just got?
can you use it on just a single mailbox?
A: yeah thast what im playing with
tmda is on the server
what prevents someone from spoofing my email address
and you can enable it for anymailbox
by modifying your .forward.
postfix...
nobody can spoof bc i use postfix sender checks
and smtpd_recipient_restrictions
http://tmda.net/faq.cgi?req=all has a lot of info
Q: cool, but u need a linux box... can't do it with exchange
A: yeah. nobody has ported it yet
im actually trying to get it to work on exchange
it uses python.
There are ones that you have to pay for though
